My friend Sarah and I did this walk in the Winter, in case you can’t tell by the state of the trees. I kind of like walking through the woods when the trees are bare, but I’m weird and like Winter a lot.

Our intention was to do the whole Ivinghoe Beacon walk, which this is the start of – but of course the weather had other plans. We had to make a quick decision to loop back along the road about an hour into the walk as the heavens opened, which was fun.

And the skies immediately cleared up.
Is there anything better than the sun shining over a field after the rain?
