A while ago the lovely Danielle got in touch to ask if I could help her out with some product photography for her hen party business, Team Hen. She was looking for something to make her bright fun products pop on her new website and across all social media party zones.

Here’s the thing. We don’t live in the same city. ¬†Easily fixed – she hopped down to the post office and by the wonder of Royal Mail, I was able to shoot her goodies in my little home studio.

Voila! I’ve done two shoots now for Team Hen and it has been fun to see her products change and develop as we work together. I love being able to shoot “by post”. Being able to photograph stock in my home studio means I can get in and out quickly to keep costs down for my lovely clients – and means I can edit them immediately and transferred over ASAP. Winning.

I had fun playing about with lifestyle shots and set ups, channelling my inner beauty blogger obviously…

And playing around with things in piles. I wanted to make sure I gave Danielle images to optimise products in store – and I also wanted to make sure I gave her enough shots to vary things up across social media, and on blog posts and press releases. When I’m shooting my own stock I know how much of a pain it is to have to go back and take another photograph to use in a blog post or newsletter, so why not get them all in one shebang? They way they look consistent, and your brand is nice and tidy and in line with itself. Fabulous.
