Brookwood Cemetery

A long time ago I went to a grand old cemetery with strict photography rules with friends who live nearby. I never forgot my visit (its an amazing place) but I had forgotten about these photographs. I got them back from the lab and foolishly lumped them in with the photographs from Bruges on the same roll – then upon checking back through my diaries I realised they were in fact, illicit photographs of an old cemetery I was not supposed to have taken photographs in.

Enjoy.

I’m not sure why you aren’t allowed to take photographs, or if that is still a rule – taking photographs doesn’t hurt anyone and surely the sharing of them only highlights what a beautiful, still, kind of magical place this old burial ground is that not many people have heard of, and the raising of awareness can only be a good thing, I don’t know. If I get asked to take these down I will, but it would be a shame. I quite like them.

PS if you want to know where I took these let me know. I’ll tell you where to go and some of the amazing things I saw there. We could field trip it one day, I’d love to go back.
