Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is a wild, overgrown cemetery-turned-park tucked away near Mile End tube station. Just secret enough to be lovely and quiet and just tucked away enough for you to totally forget you are in the middle of busy London.
I went on a little tour last Summer as part of Obscura Day which was wonderful and gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about the park – because it is a working park – and the plants and animals that call it home. There are bee hives!
The park is wonderfully maintained by the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park and they hold a LOT of really cool events throughout the year, I keep meaning to sign up for some bat watching.
Every now and then you get a tiny glimpse of real life just beyond the cemetery walls.
I wish I lived closer, I would be all up in this park every weekend if I lived closer.
I was able to process this roll of film with the help of my supporters on Patreon. You choose the amount you wish to pledge, and the number of times you wish to pledge for (I process a fresh batch every month of 3-4 films) and can cancel at any time. I appreciate every penny more than I have the words to express and you get some pretty cool rewards in return. Head over to my Patreon on page to help out!
