It’s time to finally share some photographs I took during my trip home to New Zealand this past February. I’ll be honest, I didn’t actually take a lot of photographs. I think I shot half a role of film, I barely took my camera out with me. I had my little digital camera with me a lot of the time – I think I wanted to spend time just enjoying myself, and not thinking so much about taking photographs. Digital makes this a lot easier, there is less thought involved, I guess.
We didn’t get to spend much time at home on the family farm, instead packing a lot of travel to other parts of the North Island in to our 3 week trip. I think we only spent about 5 days total back on the farm, which is only sad now because my parents are moving soon and it will have been my last stay in the spot my family have called home for the last 16 years.
Oh and by family, I mean all of these ponies.
Look at all the babies!
My favourite time on the farm is always the mornings. The valley is covered in a low lying cloud that clears away while you sit and enjoy your coffee on the back porch.
I’ll miss these scenes!
